More bands announced: White Town and Plouf!

So, first off, the Sunday line-up is now complete with the addition of one-man-band extraordinaire, White Town. Yes, so you might remember them from their 1997 No.1 ‘Your Woman’ – but Jyoti Mishra isn’t all about that, you know. He’s written some rather wonderful indiepop songs and has charmed and delighted audiences in Sweden (particularly) in the last few years. We are ever so happy he’s agreed to play!

The complete line-up for Sunday is now on the bands+schedule page and it looks awesome. Tickets are limited for this and you can buy them for only £6 here (unless, of course, you have a popfest pass).

As for Saturday, the mighty mighty Plouf! (albeit version 2.0) have been added to the line-up of our all-dayer. They are now a duo consisting of tonieee (formerly of Velodrome 2000 and The Parallelograms – can you tell that it’s the same person behind all these websites…?) and Elodie, and this is going to be their first show as v.2.0 which is rather exciting. Plouf!

We’re nearly there. I could do with a drink now.

I think the new Plouf! should actually properly call themselves Plouf 2.0! With the exclamation mark there at the end, after 2.0. That would be brilliant, that would.

    Looking forward to it! :-)

Are there any more tickets being released for the alldayer on Saturday?

  4. London Popfest Says:

We are checking with the venue whether we are allowed to sell more tickets. We’ll post here as soon as we know. Sorry about that.
